This was Sebastain in his cone about 3 months ago - we had to push all the funiture out of his way but unfortunately the garden was not so lucky. None of the clivias had flowers after day 4.

Shame poor little thing. How long is that bandage going to last I wonder?

We've made it to today, all good. She started nibbling at it yesterday, but it held out okay. Now to remove it...

But she's a real trooper. Was playing with Ed yesterday and has mastered the art of three-legged running.

Nothing better than having your dogs with you the whole day. Have you guy's had some rain there lately.

I've been spraying wattle seedlings lately with a mist-blower, then my dogs get left at home, much to their disgust.

They go crazy when I put on my running shoes, a Jack Russel, and an old Border Collie.

Hi Dean.

Sorry only saw this now. The days have been long putting in the new crop. We have had some good rain since early November, but nothing spectacular. (About 110 mm in total) We are struggling after 2 years of well below average rainfall. (The 2012/2013 season has been the driest in 100 years)  Really hoping for some good rain so that the vleie and spruite can have a good run and fill up our dams and the groundwater reserves.

My dogs, Rafiki the Jack Russel, Bonnie the Labrador, and Katie aka Catherine the Rhodesian Ridgeback, also goes ballistic when they hear the sound of the velcro on my mtb shoes or the squeal of my running shoes on the kitchen floor. (We got Katie on the day William and Catherine got married, hence the name. )

When I want to do some serious training I have to leave them at home, so I need to sneak out of the front door long before dawn without waking them up. Katie and Rafiki have very good stamina, but Bonnie tires very quickly. Normally I would return home after about an hour and a bit of hard riding and then call them along for half an hour which provides me with a very decent and long cool down period, and them with some enjoyment of frolicking through the veldt.

Our latest addition Emmet (main character in the lego movie).

We had been trying for over 6 months to adopt a lab, but it was just disappointment after disappointment.  We finally got one, but it turned out to be very aggressive towards our other lab and possessive of us.  Almost bit my husbands arm when our other dog came near him.  Sadly we had to give him back.  My son cried for the next hour and didn't even want to go to his best friends birthday party.  2 days later a guy at my work was telling me about the puppies he got.  On a spur of the moment thing we went that night to look and fell in love with this little guy.   Bassett cross Border Collie, talk about a mix of opposites.
