I have learnt with my marriage that it is easier to ask for forgiveness then permission.

In my marraige it is quicker asking for forgiveness than permission - but I have to treat the bruises for a long time after that...

Damn   I suppose now finally I have a reason to move to Gauteng and the WC trails are all burn't down so now there is nothing keeping me here.

But what if a tarantula happened to walk over the ANC/DA border and into my very large empty terrarium and set up house there, could he not ask for squatters rights?.

I still have the very real problem of divorce if I come home with one.

So much of win, Sheriff will be waiting .

Miss Molly Dog had a big weekend...

First bath...went very well until she fell over & then realised she had to go outside until she was dry

But then to speed things up she experienced her first fire (it was a very chilly misty Sunday evening in jozi)

But the day before we had the biggest & final breakthrough in her new life...she, of her own accord, suddenly decided that she no longer wished to eat the cats.

We have been working with her for 3 weeks & with the help of the magical Ian J we made tiny breakthroughs, but we couldn't stop her trying to snap at them when they got up close - it was more of an excitement snap than a vicious "i want to eat you" one. So eventually we tried short periods with a loose, soft muzzle for a week. She could eat, drink & even bite with it on but she just couldnt do big snaps that could cause serious damage.

We found that she actually wanted to be with the cats & followed them around & then lay next to them, but once they moved, she bullied them.

Never the less on Saturday we tried the big step of having her in the room without the muzzle on with a cat sleeping on the bed.

And sure enough, she had somehow made the decision that she no longer wished to eat them

Since that moment she has been completely fine with them - one big happy family...at last!

Thanks. Unfortunately I had to take her to Husky Rescue in Bloem. Going to visit her and all 24 of the other Husky's at Husky Rescue. What saddens me is that a year ago that number was 15.

Very sad indeed!

Cute furry babies you say Uni.

Here is our Simba the crazy Pekinese cuddling with his mom on Saturday arvie when it got so chilly .]

Lap of luxury :)

So out of curiosity, do you and Mrs Sheriif just happen to both like Pekineses, I always wonder in families how they become certain breed families, like Tunarian & his mrs with their rotties, Fanie and his Jacks.
