Has anyone here attempted some sort of orthopedic/corrective surgery on their dog?

Our 15month old Boerboel must have hurt himself some time ago (he is very rough when playing with his first-generation sister). His left shoulder must have displaced somewhat. He has been limping along and it is becoming worse.

They can always do surgery. Might not be cheap, though. Best is take him for x-rays.

Afternoon cuddles.

This happens every morning and every afternoon..f73eabdbb181c9a757109501c097348b.jpg

Our kitty used to be like that, but he's grown to be a bit fickle and grumpy in his old age. Nowadays the most love we get from him is if he sleeps on the bed with us.

Ok double post.

Chances are likely that the damage is through tendons and muscular. Big dogs, especially growing ones are susceptible to tissue damage. Get to your vet for an evaluation.

Ask if they work with Animal Physio's or can refer you.

Why not see a vet and go find out?

Before you do invasive, do some homework on animal physio.

Definitely. That's why you need x-rays to find out what the problem is, so you can make an informed decision. You CAN always do surgery, you SHOULDN'T always do surgery.
