I had to make that drive to the vet earlier. She was no longer herself, lying in a heap and breathing heavily. The tumor on her leg had become the size of an orange. The sight of her lying in a heap not doing anything just using all her energy to keep breathing was not how I think she would want to live. RIP my Princess Xena. 1a3311abd07d653aa80efbb8a460c7dc.jpg

Really sorry man.

Sorry for your loss.

I cried like a little girls when I had to put our Lab down last year.

I had to take our 8 week old Husky to the Vet on Thursday morning at 3am (second time in the 3 weeks we've had him)

He's had some trouble weeing so hopefully the tests are complete today and he doesn't need surgery just a diet change.

Sunday chilling in the garden, watched Izzy her pull a toad out of the flowers and start to play with it, shouted to leave it and she did. Almost instantly went into a frenzy of gum itching. Washed her gums down and gave her an antihistamine. Turns out its a raucous toad with psycho reactive venom and we were pretty stressed.  Anyhoo, seems it turned into a good trip (see photos below)  :whistling:  and no lasting damage, but she was goofy for ages.

One of Bruce's favourite things to do is chase birds off his property..this one was teasing him by sitting on the roof.

I am sure the neighbours likes it. My GSD loved catching birdd, much to our disgust as we put in a lot of effort to attract birds to our garden (which it did, muct to the appreciation of our GSD).  But now we are in a flat and her hips are not quite what it used to be.  So when we go for a walk and she sees birds she get all excited but know it is just a window shopping exercise.

That bark of his lol

Then you must hear it when he picks up a foreign scent ..its the weirdest sound

Of course he has taught Enzo how to chase birds and also taught him how to track..quite cute actually.. Bruce picks up a scent and nose is in the ground and then Enzo does the same right behind him.

I must remember to take a video next time.

I suspect Pascha (my GSD) does not quite have the eyesight she used to have.  Now if she sees old people with a walking ring or these pull along shopping bags on wheels, she thinks it is someone walking his/her dog.  So she gets all excited and "agro" and as we get closer to the person she notices oh ... its not a dog.  Then she continues walking normally and the poor old person almost soiled him/herself in some of the cases.
