I can see why the cartoon is offensive, and the artist seems really clueless.

 

I still don't think the umpire was sexist, nor racist.

 

Does my landing on the different shades of grey on the two topics make me:

A) inconsistent

B) racist

D) hypocritical

E) deviant, but spankings are fun

My feeling is that it's mildly racist. He's gone out of his way to accentuate her with thick lips, no issue with the "butch" body image, she does look like that!

 

I don't actually have a problem with this being blown up out of proportion, it's an important discussion to have and political cartoonists have always been the best ones to push these buttons.
