Yeah, every now and then the site crashes. For people organising a world class event, that is suppost to be the most televised mountain bike race in the world, the site leaves much to be desired.

The fact that one can still not obtain the official completed results of the top guys is very bad.

Thats a lot of non-finishers.

My guess is that most of those are non finishers from yesterday or non-starters this morning. If you can make it to day 3 (not counting the TT) chances are you will finish barring a mechanical or other unfortunate incident.

one of the non finishers is a friend of mine who was doing his 3rd epic.last 2 years he was in the middle to forward of the finishers.this year fell and broke collarbone and some chest injuries on prologue.tried to patch himself up,but could not make the start of stage one.currently in hospital being operated on.

Question: I see a lot of the pro-teams had at least one member riding with a Go-Pro (during prologue and stage 1 anyway). I'm guessing a GoPro doesn't weight very much, but since the riders are so weight conscious why are they riding with them?

Was wondering the same thing...

Similar to F1 where all the cars have them installed. I think the riders don't really have a choice. Is for TV coverage.
