how many cups do you generally make at a time? the mini is fine for me - takes 20g at a time, no harm in decanting at intervals and re-filling as you go along

Tall one for me - But the mini works just as well if you are patient... which I am not.

Ye patience is not really one of my best values.

Malkhonig K30 for the win with a La Mazzoca G3 (manual of course).

Just putting it out there for the best setup and most unaffordable setup.

How often you setting up the K30, once they get a bit older they a pain.. always moving!

Your G3 (gs3) i presume... manual as in? Paddle...my favorite config of a Gs3!

My next step is Linea 1 group (Not mini)

monolith flat (*Unattainable but a pipe dream)

Maybe once a week when I get a new bag. Wish I had a GS3, but the paddle is the way to go.

The Linea is also great,

So what machine do you have?

The reason it was falling over on my previous stove top is that the "claws" which a post rests on over the open flame were too far apart for the bialeti to rest on, it only made contact with 2 or 3 of the sides and was off balance. This isn't case with the new stove top - the gaps are much smaller and the bialeti can rest nicely on it. But I will keep that in mind if it does happen to bow out...

Hot tip:

Use a discarded disc rotor as a base for the mokka pot on big gas burners.

Especially useful when camping with a cadac single burner

Centre lock or 6 bolt? Finally a good use for Avid brakes...

6bolt.

Don't use a floating Hope rotor with a magnesium centre. The magnesium melts. I learned that in the Kouebokke Veld. The hard way.

Awesome idea! Wish I knew about that trick in my last apartment!
