Skubarra Posted June 4, 2012 Share Seems PPA not involved anymore? I wonder how the seeding will work then given that there will be 1000's of riders and at the Dirtopia/AMArider events I've done previously everybody starts in the same batch.... Rydogg Posted June 4, 2012 Share Please tell me that they're NOT using those amarider timing tag things...

Dicky DQ Posted June 9, 2012 Share Well at least that is better then the manual timing .....
DJR Posted June 9, 2012 Share Last time I did it, Racetec did the timing.
jannosmit Posted June 9, 2012 Share Last time I did it, Racetec did the timing. I also assume its seeding and timing by Racetec as always.
Dubber Posted June 9, 2012 Share Please tell me that they're NOT using those amarider timing tag things... From the website: You must wear an AmaRider tag to be timed for this event. More money to shell out... Edit: I see a temporary one will be provided (cost covered in entry fee). Apologies Dirtopia Edited June 9, 2012 by Dubber
Dubber Posted June 9, 2012 Share I also assume its seeding and timing by Racetec as always. Seeding for the longer races done based on results from these events: Die Burger 2011, Lourensford and Stallwater.
Rydogg Posted June 20, 2012 Share Well at least that is better then the manual timing ..... The Dirtopia timing tags are basically manual timing. Everyone has to stop and tap the sensor thingy with the timing tag attached to your wrist... Start and finish.
andydude Posted June 29, 2012 Share Well, I didn't get an invite so I guess I'm not a top rider! So who wants to do the 60km with me? We can ride through from Durbanville with our MTBs. We can even skip the longer Bottelary Road and take the Bottelary trails on our way! Tiny K
mikkelz Posted July 12, 2012 Share Looking forward to it! Extra R20 for the trail tag, so no Racetec for this one. Think it's time to ditch my PPA membership next year. I wish everyone could just work together so you didn't need: CyclingSA license, PPA (not valid for all races for much longer it seems?), Racetec, Amarider...
