CrossFit

My girlfriends brother does coaching/training for crossfit and trains a lot of the MMA guys that were on ETV the other night as well as a number of top end mountain bikers. He works out of sunninghill so if anyone wants his details then pm me.

anybody else started this? I went for the first time this morning, in Meyersdal at Figure4 was a really awesome workout! So atleast we have somewhere to go in the Souf!!

Definitely looking at this. Reckon core strength is hugely improved, great for xco.

One place I looked at is just over 600 rondt a month, thought that was a bit pricey. Or is that pretty much standard, comparatively?

depending on how many classes per week & the level of attention of your trainer/s it sound "cheap"...

13 sessions a month, so roughly 3 a week. After a tuning session for R200, which is deducted from the first month's fee.

Also dependent on the level of attention or one on one sessions a trainee requires/wants.

I did in during the pre-season in 2012, had my best race performances to date on road & mtb. When I stopped towards the end of the racing season I could feel the difference almost immediately.

Doing someting very similar to Crossfit in Nelspruit. Kettlebell and functional fitness at a gym called K-Fit. These guys train the Pumas rugby team and a bunch of other local sports teams and figures. Go check out their site:

Im in week 5 of Crossfit & I'm loving it! Serious workout!

 

I climb stronger + I have learned to suffer more and get through it.
