The Oprah interview

Thanks to SSBike for the link:

@oprah so, you going to do it right this time with Armstrong, or will it be more of this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ewja4q0z7s

At the 43 second you already know without a doubt she is lying. Pffftttt. What utter money making BS.

Personally, I would admit to anything if Oprah is the questioner. Just the idea of that show of hers scares the living dingles out of me. I'll even admit that I believe Lance is totally innocent and never doped, if it will get me out of there and away from Oprah.wink.png

Whatever do you mean?

Oprah and Armstrong are no different.

She sucks money in to her bank account by selling drama and he did the same.

Yip.

He cannot afford to say anything as he has certainly not had enough time to put his legal affairs in order, something he needs to do before he says anything incriminating.

There is a line in the original NYT article that broke the story of LA coming clean which says :

" (But) what worries Armstrong and his lawyers most, two of the people with knowledge of the situation said, is that he could face charges of perjury if he confesses because in sworn testimony in the SCA case he said he had never doped.

Before coming forward, Armstrong would need assurances from the Justice Department that he would not be prosecuted for those crimes, those two people said."

I think the Oprah interview is him going back to his old technique of playing to the (naive, ignorant) public gallery.

I think his coming clean eventually has nothing to do with being able to participate as an age-group tri-athlete. It is a cynical ploy to get for immunity from prosecution by the authorities.

IMO, he has done the sums and can afford to pay off SCA and the Times, maybe even the Whistle-blowing penalty. He cannot afford criminal sanction.

Ps.

no matter what he says, I guarantee there will be no apology to Emma O'Reilly or Betsy Andreau.

Will he or wont he....who knows but it will be interesting to see what the game plan is.

Thats the crowd pulling point, TV networks rely on advertising and advertising relies on viewership numbers, viewers want a good story that tickles all the strings.

Will this be a one off episode or a series....

Lance is going to come out the closet.

You funny, Taps.

He's such an alpha male. That would be cool though. Might justify why he needed to dope in the macho world of PRO racing.

My thoughts.

Oprah probably needs a new lease on her show, Armneedle needs a bit of love and hopefully try and win a few hearts back.

So now the dik antie who is 50 meals ahead and 70 dumps behind will chat to an athlete who looks like he is 70 dumps ahead and 50 meals behind ,something smells fishy .

I reckon they should do a food show together with Cheech and Chong where they give recipes on dagga koekies and puddings and call it Master Spliff, that way we could all be high all the time and accept this fiasco for what it is.

Coincidence ? Earlier release "LA considering admitting" and now " LA in Opera interview 17 Jan"

The general public will fall for "Everyone did it" so if he did it he is still the hero.
