Hi Skylark

In terms of servicing- we recommend the owner keep the stanchion and moving parts free of any dirt and derbris as a this wil prolong the life of the product. The internal cartridge only needs to be replaced after an exteneded period of use if the post starts to malfunction, this will depend on the use and weight of the rider.

In terms of spare parts- we will soon be stocking the replacement cartridges for around R600 (exchange rate dependant). We also have spare levers for R199 should a lever get damaged in a crash. This dropper post uses a regular gear shifter cable and housing which can be bought at any bike shop should the cable wear out.

I hope this answers your queries, please feel free to contact us for any more questions.

Cheers

Sounds good, total cost of ownership is probably the best available for hydraulic posts. So it uses a sealed non-servicable cartridge like a Giant post?

It's actually cheaper, but with less drop. 120mm vs 125 & 150mm. But R 2,199 vs about R 2,800 or so

R2650 for the 150mm to be precise.

I paid R2900 for the 2016 125mm Giant dropper and was led to believe it was a special price by my LBS. I did see it for less(about R2600) at one of the online stores but I could not wait to get my grubby hands on it and the LBS had it in stock and they fitted it for me.

Yip that sounds right

Most shops I got quotes from for the 150mm were around R3k, that's currently after the rand went wonky, was closer to R2500 before that.

That external routing Lynne looks very similar to the TransX which I currently have and I must say that I'm very impressed. Haven't had any issues so far. Could very possibly come from the same factory.

A new contender shakes the market up a bit.

Which is good. Droppers must be the most overpriced piece of MTB tech to date.

PNW Rainier.

The name doesn't exactly roll off the tongue easy but with it does come in the ever elusive 27.2 post diameter. Which is a blessing for some.

Someone on mtbr pointed out it might be a re-branding of this one.

The TransX something something.

They make a few models too

Well designed remote, for sure. TBH though it looks more like the original giant version with that seat clamp.

Thankful it didn't have top pass through too many hands, otherwise "not cheap"  would have become stupidly expensive.

"Our product is not cheap, it simply hasn't passed through too many hands to get to you guys  :)"

So if current pricing is anything to go buy.

The Reverb has been passed around by more Middlemen than Audrey Dawns.
