How's that Lyne crank working out?

It looks pretty good - and so does the price...

Would love to get a bit of feedback on the chainline with that 11x setup. Is it all good?

Yet to ride it but will let you know. Has there been issues with the chainline?

I've been riding 1x10 on this bike for a long time without issue so not expecting problems with 1x11.

Running my One Ten with 1x11 (that sounds funny...). Seems to work fine, with the usual 1 x chainline issues. I don't it is worse than my other bikes using 1x11.

Ya I've got 2 Pygas. It's not an really an issue, but since the 11 cassettes biggest ring sits even further inboard than a 10spd, the chain angle is more extreme. You can shim the front chaining, but only so far. On my one bike even a 1x10 is noisy (with a big one up ring). So I was wondering how the 110 does. I'm guessing its OK, because 29ers have longer chain stay lengths - so chainline isn't as critical. But I don't know. I just wonder why everyone doesn't do the +5 thing.

I do like the +5 idea with the new Pyga generation! makes a lot of sense.

Okay, so I've been for a quick trip up Paarl mountain and have some feedback. First of all, super impressed with this 1x11 setup. Shifts are so quick and smooth. Sunrace cassette and it's wide range is a real enabler.

Back to your original question, the chainline is by no means quiet but it is no worse than my 1x10 so I suppose I'm already used to a somewhat noisy granny gear. I installed everything very quickly so I suspect a bit of tweaking might help a little...perhaps. My solution, put some hairy chested draggy tyres on and you won't hear anything else :D

Jokes aside, my Pyga has an insufferable creak which is driving me nuts. Had it for a pivot service and fork/shock service but still creaking like an old boat.

I also had a gammy granny, almost sounded like the front derailleur was rubbing, but with 1X that's obviously not possible, had it on my Trance and transferred it to my 110, this is where I discovered that I had the wrong q-factor on my crank. Bought the correct crank ( phoned Pat and Hilton to get that) and voila, a quiet bike!!

I suspect this is also what aids my 1x as the Lyne Pulse crank has a chainline of 49mm.

Mine was also creaking a while back and I eventually traced it to a "dry" pedal. Stripped, cleaned and greased and the creak is gone.
