Great place to buy stuff when you know exactly what you want or need, not the best for serious experience based advice, workshop guys are average, shop floor service good and friendly.

Prices are reasonable.

I would still rather suggest LINDEN in this category of lbs.

I gave them a go a few weeks back when my wench needed a saddle for her bike, they were really helpful and gave some good advice...

We got her a saddle, used it for 2 weekends to get a proper feel but it wasnt right, we took it back to them and got another which she now loves. No hassles at all.

I was sceptical in the beginning about Solomons but thought they cant be like Cajees and gave them a go and was pleased.

Cajees is another story and I will not go back to them as long as I have a hole in my arse

They are awesome, well if you know what you want. I buy most items from there. And if they don't stock or have something, Aghtar always tries to make a plan to get it for me.

I had bad after sales service on a RD I got from them, 'they' bul$h!tted me about having sent it back to the distributors, after 4 months of 'stories' I took it to Johnsons Cycles to get it swopped out (which Kim did at no charge, even though I offered to cover his time)

There's a lot I can deal with, lying is not one of them.

Took my old Momsen and new frame to them ,asking them to build all components over to the new frame.

Oh, and I wanted it wanted the next day which was a Friday: They came through for me in flying colors. I live close to Linden, which I agree is great, but I can never get Linden open during the week, whereas Solomons is 3 mins (ok actually 5 minutes) from work!

The cost:

R80 straightening the front wheel (on my request)

R0 swopping front and back brake levers

R300 service/labour

R299 middle chain ring (also my request)

R299 crank bearing

All in, I think it was treated most fairly, and will def go back there.
