Would anyone out there be interested in a range of cycle gear that is naturally treated with insect repellant??

I want to fins out if there's enough interest in an idea like this.

its the open areas that attract the insects: neck, face, arms and legs. Spray with something like tabart and even the ticks run away. Sorry no, i will not buy insect repellant cycling clothing.

Will also not be interested, but I have been irritated many a times by flies sitting on my face / mouth as I climb a technical single track section.

Also remember miggies biting us after heavy rains when I still used to train with the roadies. We were going 32km/h+ but still they manage to attach themselves to us and leave a mosquito type of itchy markeek.gif

I have never seen a fly / mozzie that follows a cyclist at 30 km/h, so what's the benefit?

I thought so too till I came to Botswana. If you are riding with the wind they keep pace with you

Those who Ride Holla Trails regularly might be interested. Lots of bugs there the last time I rode there...

Yup, and summer months the flys are a bit of a pain especialliy when the cane fields have been fertilised with chicken ****, cruising along at speed is ok, but climbing is another story I have inhalled plenty flys and bugs.

In theory it sounds like a good idea, but do you have any reason to believe it's actually possible? if so, then would wonder why K-Way don't have a range of clothing with it.otherwise i do know you can get citronella infused sun lotion nowadays, stinks to all hell but sort of works
