no workshop is complete without :

- SDS power drill

- karcher (decent sized)

- air compressor w/ ratchet, spray gun

- proper heavy vice

- welder (preferably TIG)

- full set of Gedore sockets

- proper wall mounted grinding stone.

- oxy acetaline kit.

- decent size angle grinder

The list goes on...and on....aaaaaand on

You left out the bench grinder to polish the shiny bitsph34r.png

A decent workshop should be able to tackle any project. A real man has the right tool for every job :0

If you can afford nothing else but for two items I would recommend

Bike stand. I hang my +/-20kg downhill bike on one of these exact models and it works a treat. Merely for the sake of getting the bike off the ground and being able to stand up straight when working on a bike makes it worthwhile.

A good multi tool. Don't skimp on tools as in the long run you will only have to replace the bent/broken/rounded tools with the ones you should have bought the first time round and after the fact that you stripped half of the bolts on your bike.

All other tools are nice to have's

You forgot grease...... Lots of it, to replace the grease you wash out with your HUGE Karcher

You also need a nice cupboard to store all your tools, lubes, rags etc. Nothing worse than a workbench covered in stuff!

Here is my home made bike stand. Anybody can build one for under R150.00. You can set the angles to accomodate any bike by the top tube or seat post.

very nice, do you perhaps have a detailed drawing of some kind for the stand? or some more photos from different angles?

Compressor has been added to my list for the workshop.

what I really "NEED" is a metal lathe and milling machine
