Your strength is your weakness....sure its nice and pretty to have a linkage design that nasa engineer did...maintaining it well that is when the "poppe dans" so to speak.

its it not like something nasa designed to go into space over and over didn't go up in smoke instead...

I think the key wording here is the bikes he has actually ridden vs making judgments based on various on line reviews read.

Bikes I've ridden but did not make the list in no specific order.

Tracer (Was Mine)

Tracer 2

Banshee Rune

Morewood Sukuma

Morewood Mbuzi (Was Mine)

That Spec Semi Fatbike

Comencal Meta (Sorry Johno)

Ali Spez Enduro (Sorry Les)

Giant Reign X 26er (Was Mine)

Giant Trance

Ali Rocky Altitude

Carbon Giant Reign (Sorry Myles)

Pascoe

Devinci Dixon

There's a very real chance my opinion is skewed because all of my Faves have been ridden at the trail park. Also the ones above weren't "bad" they just weren't for me. The Ali Spec enduro and the carbon reign were both too big for me and set up for much heavier dudes. The Rune was amazing but I only rode it on a DH track. The Ali Altitude had a faulty rear shock. Etc Etc.

There's also the fact that I'm not exactly a good rider.

I love the retro-futurism theme happening here. Looks like a prop out of Fallout 4.

Superb choice of components. Well, except for the enve's

Dude, if you're judging the Advanced on the ride you had at Steilte - no wonder. It was set up like craaaaaaap for you. And me, but that's beside the point. Slowly getting her right - just haven't had enough bike time to get the settings as dialled as Robin has.

But yeah - you're like 20kg lighter than me (min) so it must have felt like a rigid. Likewise your GT felt like a boat :)

Totally.

Those were just impressions of the bikes that I've ridden as is. No reviews.

On the GT subject. I'm getting a 2016 WC frame in Lumo Yeller. Gulp! Gonna have to ride a lot faster to justify that puppy.

So when will your yellow Ali one be available for a friend, shuttle driver, brand rep?

When I get tired of the "highlighter yellow"....not soon.

I love my bike! Especially the color. The color of the my Ali is the only reason I'm not on the carbon already.  ;)
