hahhaahhaha....

I am running the Farsport wheels with On One 33c gravel tyres. I am very impressed with these tyres thusfar.

Back to the wheels, they are U shaped 50mm carbon clinchers with DT Swiss 350 hubs. The wheels rolls beautifully and I have already had them off road. They are still dead straight and rolling perfectly.

The only complaint I have is the brake noise. Carbon wheels make a noise when you brake hard. I am looking to see if a pad change will sort this out.

I am very impressed with my Farsport wheels. They are very stiff and have improved my Cotic in every way

I do two things.

Sand down the brake pad faces every now and then, and make sure you set your pads toe in.

Changing to swisstop black prince was a life changer on my carbon wheels:)

I have had a few sets of carbon wheels and tried many suggestions to get the Chinese wheels not to squeal - fancy pads, toe in brakes etc. They still squealed like pigs every time. Only thing that worked on my latest Chinese set is furniture polish. The bonus is that the furniture polish keeps the wheels looking very good too. In one year there is virtually no deterioration in the braking surface on the rim. Brake pads wear a lot less too.

Anyway, try all the usual things, then if nothing works, use furniture polish.

How can using Polish not contaminate the pads and affect the braking, what am I not seeing? Can I use Mr min on my mtb rotors?!

Works great for carbon road bike rims only, don't put anything on your MTB rotors. Even paraffin will mess up the brake pads on the MTB.

Why would you want something on your MTB rotors? Is this because of squealing? Maybe your pads are contaminated with oil or something. For MTB rims I would try cleaning the rims with methylated spirits, then light sand on the pads. Otherwise new pads. BTW these MTB pads are very cheap from China, I buy 4 sets at a time for about R80. No problems with these pads after about a year on various bikes.
