I say a decent set of flats and shoes + two weeks riding almost everyday (short fun rides), then decide. On the weekend I realized that I'm a 100% flats guy. I've been riding both flats & clips on both bikes for the last year or so depending on trail, conditions and even my mood but I rode Jonkers on flats on my trail bike and it was a BLAST!I was also faster than I'd even been on most of the bits of trail we rode. Another one to consider is the FiveTen Maltese Falcon. It's lighter and less bulky than a Minnaar/Hell Cat.
