Speaking of rims.

Im thinking of getting a little lighter on the wheel side of the Morewood.

WTB i-25 or ZTR Flow EX?

Im leaning to the I-25 as Ill be saving around 150g per wheel and they are pretty well priced.

I've been running the WTB ST-i25's and they've held up really well. If I wasn't such a tight ass I would have gone with the Frequency i25's. I had to source them through CRC as the local importer doesn't bring in 26' WTB rims

Crud. I was hoping to get them locally. Thanks for the feedback.

Just got me this...

Enough space for all my Enduro ®© goodies, plus a kitchen sink.

Can you carry a full face on it?

I already have a Dakine Session 8L pack, but would like a nice large pack for exploration and expedition rides.

Yep

This is it fully laden, with all my spares, RaceFace knee/shin guards and some lizardskins elbow/forearm guards, goggles, beanie, technicak jacket, spare socks etc.

The helmet carry section accepts the whole of my Bell Faction, and there are 3l of h2o in there.

There's still loads of space left over.

Awesome, thanks man!!

For those who want to carry everything with them (and don't mind something that looks like it's from a 90's fleamarket)...

behold the Oakley Kitchen Sink

But as for me...

I'm very happy with my Evoc FR Enduro Team

It may look small in the picture, but it's actually rather large. (HayleyEarth can attest to that. She thinks it is ridiculously oversized)

It has all the niceties, including back protection with 95% shock absorption.

And there are 2 larger models.

But I wouldn't go too big. The 16L Evoc did me just fine at Sani last year (day 2 was 9hrs in the saddle for me  ).

  • 1.5L bladder with 1L 32GI in
  • 3L bladder with 2L water in
  • 2x spare tubes
  • bicycle multitool
  • Gerber mini-multitool
  • pump
  • bombs
  • puncture kit
  • snacks
  • sunblock
  • spare brake pads
  • spare shifter cable
  • Reverb lock clamp
  • rain jacket
  • DH jersey (I'd wear in the morning while cold, then take it off as it warmed up)

So yeah... I can't see myself ever needing more that that for a day long adventure.
