wow, had a look at the sale site. Some real 'bargains' a cycling top + t-shirt+ cap for R499, all 'quality stuff' with epic logos on them.

the disclaimer is that you have to pay for postage, which only comes in the invoice. wonder if they try and rip one there?

pity it doesn't seem to actually work, link to buy just goes to a picture.

Seriously? Did you have milk with your bowl of stupid this morning?

Nope, just two bacon rolls. Why would I want an Olympic gold medal? I wear what I like and I don't give a hoot what anyone else thinks. Most people wouldn't have a clue what it meant and I'm sure people that do would not be so stupid to think that I am a World Champion.

Why would they make them for the general public to buy anyway? Surely if one is not meant to wear it then the UCi would make sure that the jerseys are not replicated.

I think people are spending too much time checking out what each other are wearing and riding.

I notice a guy with blue kit or perhaps the twitchy guy with the red helmet. Reading logos and trying to decide who is a poser and who isn't doesn't cross my mind. I'm usually trying too hard to keep up before being shelled in a road race or tripped up on a technical section of a MTB race.

I seriously don't care what you are wearing or what races you have done. I assume everyone else is as indifferent to my achievements and clothing. Didn't know I was being watched and judged. Now I'm feeling self conscious.

I saw a design for The Hub cycling top at Anatomic..

How do I go about getting one of those beauties?

You cannot wear the hub kit until you have over 5000 posts and at least 3 moderator warnings.

Hubbers caught wearing the kit before such time as they have earned it will be named and shamed with a 'hubbers are their own worst enemy thread'.

Lol, I had no idea people were so sensitive about this. I dont really see the point. Why cant everyone just wear whatever they want to wear? I doubt that any actual world champs care who is wearing a fake jersey or not?

Let me lay it out more clearly.

Kevin sold the Amabubesi concept to people to obviously get them back ,and give them something special.

They made it very clear (amongst a host of other empty promises) that Amabubesi kit will only be available to those who finish three Epics (finish them, not enter them)

The stuff is available to all and sundry, no problem with that, "allow people to wear what they want" no problem there either.

The bottom line, set a standard and stick to it.

Try and get a Comrades green number without starting and finishing 10 of them.

Or even better, get the Comrades franchise to make them available for sale so we can hear from the real green number brigade how they feel about it.
