With all the excitement of Daryl getting yellow in Le Tour, it seems that Ashleigh's exploits have gone unnoticed.

She has finished in 8th place overall in the ladies Giro. This is a fantastic result.

She also had a 3rd place on 1 stage as well as a few top 10 places.

This is an awesome result. Well done Ashleigh

It is a disgrace that these ladies dont get more press coverage regarding their results. Actually let me rephrase that, it is a disgrace that there is no press coverage for these ladies.

Well done there Mrs Pasio. Doing your country proud

Current SA road and time trial champion, Ashleigh Moolman was named African’s Most Influential Woman in Sport at a gala dinner awards ceremony held at the Gallagher Convention Centre, Johannesburg, last night.

The awards are published in an annual publication, “SA’s Most Influential Women in Business and Government”, aimed at celebrating the excellence of women in the business world and government institutions.

Semi-finalists in the Sports category included Olympic canoer Bridgitte Hartley, hockey player Bernadette Coston and triathlete Kate Roberts.

Ashleigh is honoured to receive such an accolade.

Wow, what an honour and privilege to be named Africa’s most influential woman in sport! The influence I can have on other people’s lives inspires me to train and race to the best of my ability! Thanks South Africa and the greater African continent for your support and for inspiring me to fulfill my purpose!
