So you don't care that there were many injuries, including punctured lungs SeanN and allies? That info about the injuries comes from Erik (the main man at VG) who was helping with the medics co-ordination, and was chatting to a local Doctor about this whilst I had to wait for him.

I enjoy the route, and done many events there, (and had my own fair share of body plants) certainly don't want it dumbed down BUT I reckon more could be done to help those who are not up on the skills to avoid injury. That does not involve or mean changing the route or making it easier, so chill out on that one. I reckon that could even be argued in a court of law. Maybe it will if there is a very serious injury, like spinal cord damage.

I don't agree with that idiot. He thinks is so good and so fast, and can ride every obstacle, and, wait....erm, he can.

We can't do anything about him being an idiot :whistling: but his point is still valid

Nothing about tough guy mentioned anywhere, I stated simple facts but if you are offended, clearly the shoe fits....

I wasnt the only one who rode it, must your mommy remind you to roll up your sleevies so you dont get foodies on them?

Whats the okes on TDF got to do with my comment?

If you want to ride the easy race, ride the shorter distances, dont take on the big one and then whine about it because its too hard or too rocky.

You think road is easy?? Come ride!

I destinctly heard at the race briefing .Ride within your limits !!! Take enough fluids !!! .I am the only one listening or what !

You right they said that in the briefing. The race was awesome and I admit I suffered quiet a bit ,but that's what I like. That feeling of satisfaction of finishing a tough race sums it up for me. Puts things into prospective on what to work on.

Im no Rocket Scientist...

If you new take the easier route... Ride to your abillity and enjoy the beer afterwards. And if your buddies say u r a Pussy, so be it, next time you might just do the long one. I rather enjoy the day... And if i took the long route and Fell, and Kaked myself, I am definately not gonna come and cry on the HUB that the route was hard.

In every sport there are injuries, even the Pros get it wrong, they don't go to the UCI and bitch.. Its a sport, if you cant handle it, dont do it... Its bad when someone gets hurt badly, but thats not the fault of the race organisers, Its the rider who enters and decides what route to ride...

I will be there this weekend again, and have a ball out there, and enjoy the family time afterwards...

True, but the thing here is that there its a lot of the newbies to the sport who over estimate the skills, fall off and get injured. That story has been told time and time again, right here.

So if we want to grow the sport in a positive direction why not show a bit of empathy to the situation and help the masses who attend the popular events like this Trialseeker Series not to hurt themselves by sharing some positive education? Yes, we learn by our mistakes (unless you are a fool of course) but why not help them to help themselves to avoid getting into this situation in the first place?

I will let it rest at that: hope you get my point.
