How old is your son?

I pulled mine to a 3:06 94.7 last year at age 13.

They are quicker than you think!

He will be 14 next year on the 24th of March. Problem is that I am not that quick. He will kill me on the hills, while I might have to help him in the wind if we have a SE day. He is very light for his age. About 45kg.

Ha ha, not going to get much slip sitting behind 45 kg either!

Not this year it seems. :o

Luckily I did mine on the 1st!

Yo that was a surprise to me. Looks like they are forcing more people to ride for charities.

They said that they want to have it more a corporate event after the event this year. Remember something about taking corporate entries/riding for cause up from 5000 to 10000 so that is 5000 less entries available for individuals who want to race.

I see that there are a number of dissapointed people already trying to get entries from people that do not want to ride. I suppose that this is very wishful thinking as why on earth would anybody go through the effort of entering and a week later decide that they are not going to ride.

To the dissapointed people not able to secure an entry and do not want to ride in a charity bond, just hang in there. There will be people backing out. Perhaps not this week but closer to the event there is a good chance you will get an entry if you keep your eyes peeled on the HUB.

Two of my mates last year did not get an early entry, but booked flights and accommodation anyway. They managed to secure an entry a few days before substitutions closed.

Less beer?? hmmm, that's a tough one, but the rest sounds do-able.
