HI Guys

I have a quick question. Will I be disqualified if I start the Argus in another group than the one I am in?

I would like to start the race with my training buddies who are seeded in a different group.

Quick question - if everybody can just start where they like and pitch up in groups higher than their seeding, why would the organisers bother with seedings or cyclists bother doing seeding races?

I think with most races, if you start in a higher group, you will just get dq'ed after the event, and you won't have a result. But you won't get stopped from riding. So if you don't care for your official result, you can do this.

I think with the Argus they have people checking at the entrance of the start pens, so you would have to jump the fence to do this.

On my commute home I met an "oomie" at Lagoon beach robots. He is out training for the Cycle tour ,only problem it is his 1st day on the bike since last years Cycle tour. How does he even think he can get away with it?

If it was any of the old omies I know, then he was lying through his teeth! They secretly train like bloody mad all year round but pretend to be old, unfit, fat and slow.........until race day, then they kick some young butt! :D
