Seeded F. Don't understand that some of you did a 3:02 - 3:05 last year and got a E seeding. I was a 2:59 and got F. Does not bother me though. Will drop back to G and join my sister and make a team effort of cracking the 2:50 mark.

You should have joined a charity, we (PETS) got a 8:22 start and you only had to raise 650 bucks, I personally raised 3K.

so basically then entry for race and getting decent time will cost R1000... i know part goes to charity but I already do plenty to volunteer and donate in other ways. But guess the more ppl give to signup with charities the more I will be ripped off for what i paid to enter

Keep in mind that there could have been a huge group out of batch I or something that did a 2h50 which would give them a better seeding than you, thus pushing you back. Plus other races can also bump up your seeding.

Brilliant, I'll work with you.

I'm also in G although I have not ridden a road race since 94.7 in 2011. I had a great Karoo2coast though. Maybe that helped.....

Hahahaha the worst seeding in my life!!! I only do MTB, but bought me a road bike and 94.7 will be my first race. . .please help. Is there no way I can improve my seeding?? I'm in VV  start last.

I wanted to do sub 3 hours. .is this possible from this start time??

Highly unlikely I reckon, not only will you have the heat as a drawback, but also dodging grannies and teeagers out for a fun ride will also hamper your goal.
