Was he in a yellow/orange shirt and wearing a bandana?

He was given a helmet going up Jan Smuts near republic road and told to ride wearing a helmet. One of the sweep vehicles pulled him over.

Hope he gets dq and banned from entering again

Jt found out a friend of mine had a mild heart attack on the n14... Poor girl is just 24...

Shame, kinda foresaw something like that... She's quite overweight and she and the bf did it together... Poor guy is a little traumatised to say the least... But he medics were excellent and she's now in ICU...

Started at 9:45 and got 3:12, traffic was crazy throughout the race but I guess it's a late start.

Was great fun and well organized. Love the spirt of the spectators, gives you a tiny taste of what it must be like to be on the tour.

Did anyone see the bloke on the MTB with the insanely fat tires for loose sand riding? Saw him on way in and heard him getting interviewed in D or E bunch

Wonder what time he managed to pull out of that thing.

Clearly either a very brave or very stupid man

There was a guy on a MTB with nobblies in D (D3777). He finished with the front bunch in 2:32, big respect, it couldn't have been easy. Well done dude!!

Didn't know they allowed TT/Tri bikes. Saw 2 out today. But I guess if there can be unicycles and ice-cream bikes, then why not?

I was watching E TV this afternoon and the Lady that organizes the race was being interviewed.

She was saying that the race has out grown Waterfall. Next years race will be at a new venue.
