CAPE TOWN – A motorist has been arrested for attacking a cyclist in Blouberg, police confirmed on Thursday.

The suspect was released shortly after the incident on a warning to appear in court.

The man handed himself in after allegedly pushing a cyclist off her bicycle, spitting on her and holding her in front of oncoming traffic earlier this week.

Lona Marais, 47, apparently shouted at the driver of the silver 4x4 to get off his cellphone as he skipped a stop street and almost knocked her over.

The man will appear in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court on 30 September.

I am confused by your post, you make a derogatory remark and then mention you would go if it wasn't for the distance.

Well I am proud to say, I am one of the "big mouthed manne" and would also gladly have been there if it wan't for a few toll gates and work standing in my way.
