Yeah.. Cause those of us who ride on zero suspended frames with tyres at 8.5 bar are the ones who demand a soft seat post.

Mtb for roadies. Ass.

I like the bike. The seat post is not my scene but the bike works for me.

The paintwork is kickass! But why the seatpost... just makes a more expensive hardtail...

I dont like the suspension seatpost concept, though. I understand folks wanting to soften up their old hardtail while saving for a dual, but to buy new I would rather get a dual sus in the first place.

If the terrain is that rocky-you shouldnt be sitting down...freakin gimmick

just like the "more relaxed geometry" and the 3 x 10 speed.

This bike was specced by the marketing department

What market is the bike pitched at?

Perhaps with a spec of 3x10 and a softer ride, someone new to mountain biking who may ride mainly on road or jeep trails and likes the idea of a softer ride without breaking the bank on buying a full suspension... Or perhaps a commuter?

Any idea on price?

Because all mountain bikers race? Your attitude comes across more roadie than you might like to think ;)

The seat post is a gimmick but until recently 3x gearing was perfectly acceptable, 2x and 1x have always been available to those with an allen key, the only thing that's changed is trends.
