I have done a dismount like that at that point .... I recall everything going into slow motion and while tucking and rolling I saw the bike cartwheeling down the trail and being very fascinated by how far and many times the bike managed to cartwheel.

Edit: Dropper posts is not a band-aid for lack of skills

The same could be said about rear suspension, front suspension, 22 different gear possibilities etc. This is an old argument.
