This post is waaaaaaay Late, I know. Im new into the Triathlon scene, yet to do my first one, but Im doing a lot of training. My Wife is very supportive and also quite active herself. I swim 3 x a week at 5AM and then try do some running in the afternoon. Cycling is usually over weekends.

Now I have an observation and question: With all the training during the week and going to bed tired, I can feel my sexdrive suffering. i know Ill get bashed for this  , but Im just too tired to even think about it. Over weekends its better. How do you guys work that into your equations?

Its like any workout, it must go onto the program, and must have specific goals, wear a heart rate monitor if you must. Cross-training is important and varying the venue of the workout. Dont be shy to invite other workout partners, you wife must understand that group training will make you a better athlete. Remember that as a triathlete more than one workout a day is often necessary and the pro's will sometimes do three. Reference guides and video analysis can help you get the best of your workout. Finally as a triathlete, the cop out that cyclists use about no sex before a race is unacceptable, you are a multisport athlete, finely honed to be able able to perform in a number of spheres and environments, sex before a race is not just acceptable, but recommended.

I do agree with the eating routine as I now dont have time to cook like i was so steamed veggies for lunch and dinner has turned into a sandwhich and cooked food from the shops or Nando's. I do avoid the other fast food places like the pleague!

Water, I drink minimum of 2l a day. The problem come in with coffee! While drawing I tend to have 3-5 cups an hour :whistling:

I also have many coffees daily. Its better than drinking fizzy cooldrinks

Dude, train less. So you will be five minutes slower, but think of the upside. Supporters need to be happy as well.

The only way I currently fit training in is to commute to work and back, or wake up at 4am to do longer rides. Every Saturday morning for a long ride, but this is starting to become a problem with the family...

I did some "crossfit" sessions at home for 4 years. My wife is now completely into it and is continueing even though I have stopped. Also I often get on the IDT after 21:30 at night. As far as sexdrive goes - if you are tired it will affect all aspects of life! Maybe you are even overtrained. Mate, life is too short - cut back a bit and smell the flower(s).
