out of interest, how many mandelas does one need for that?

Here its roughly $15000.00 for the base model, but add the extra's like electronic wrap around windscreen, radio and tape, ABS etc and you could easily get up to $25000.00 ......and I mean VERY easily.

Ha, Ha, yeah, but its still worth it, you even get a special suit you wear for riding in winter which plugs into socket in the bike and it heats up - real toasty inside. :P

+1 me and the missus both have a toothbrush and clean underwear permanently under the seat. If we found a nice place- then we just use nearest b&b and make it two days.

We did this once. I broke my hand during December holidays and was miserable because I couldn't cycle or skydive. My OH decided to get me out the house so we hopped on his bike and went to visit our Sky Diving club. Didn't feel like going home so just carried on and found some awesome dirt roads. Eventually ended up in the rain at +- 6pm not knowing where we were going to stay. Luckily we were close to Arniston and found a room in the hotel.

Miss those kid and dog free days where you could just up and go whenever you felt like it.

Bikes have been the biggest part of our family. Busy turning a GS450x into a motard for short commuting to get around traffic. Grew up on MX.

Looking SERIOUSLY forward to the release of the redone "On any Sunday"!

Indeed, one of the great privileges of been retired is time is no issue to me. Often I jump in the car or on the bike (depending on the weather - this is Canada and been on a bike in -35 is not fun  ) and just ride. At 5pm I start looking for a hotel and at 7pm I start looking for dinner. Next day is the same.

Its just great, I dont have any plan of where I am going, I just point the bike out onto the interstate and ride till I see a junction I havent been on and off I go - found some amazing places like this as well, now I only travel like that,no plans, just go.

Also ridden dirt bikes all my life. My Husky SMR is ridiculously fun. I'm not gonna say as much fun as dirt bikes but a motard for short commutes / messing around town....cannot wipe the smile off of my face.

Yeah, its nice, here they call them "Naked Bikes" as they dont have any fairings, windscreens etc. A great run around or for cruising on a Friday evening but not ideal for long distances, which Harley's are so good at.

I can ride my Streetglide all day and not even feel tired, I switch on the radio, adjust the windscreen and its so wind free behind the screen I could smoke a cigar with no problems - if I smoked that is. :D

....but Yeah, its a great looker indeed and I see lots around, quite nippy as well I understand.
