Did somebody say Husqvarna sucks ?

Steve Mc Queen doesn't think so .

If you ever rode a 360 Husky you knew. Blinding fast in a straight line and like a piece of spaghetti in a corner. Used to ride with mates at Eureka Sands which is basically now Steyn City. One of them had one of these.

Look at those uber strong downtubes there in the front of the frame.

I'm finally getting somewhere on my CB550 build - loosely based on the Dick Mann CR750, but with modern USD forks and supermotard wheels, she's going to be fun!

I've just about finished my 1996 Honda CR250 Jeremy Mcgrath replica - its sitting at Honda Bar (Greenstone) on display, just a handful of items needed to finish her off...

I saw that cr yesterday. Very cool!!

Did you do the welding on the other build yourself?

Thanks Dude! did you go watch the Supercross at Hondabar?

No, Mark at Alufab is doing all the fabrication - he lives two blocks up from me, sooo convenient LoL!

And my current rave....... Thruxton with modified Arrow exhaust for R104K

I had a 2013 Thruxton new out the box, did the TTP mods (airbox removal for pods, SAI removal, re-map etc and gutted the pipes) what a great machine. Actually sold it to pursue the need to build more classic stuff, but I sure do miss that bike. Havent ridden a road bike for over a year now!

No I was actually looking for another bike to buy, I'm looking for an older bike but they don't have anything old!

Need a welder for my Vespa frame, or at least someone who can show me basics...

Drop me a PM - I have some good contacts in the classic bike circles. A good mate of mine is busy on a Vespa resto - Tiago - OneOneCustoms, he'll be able to help with the frame.

Thanks a million, I sent you a PM. The welding frightens me... bought all the TIG welding stuff and have no idea where to start ha ha!

Sorry to jump in here... Practice, practice, practice!! If you have the equipment, go to an engineering fabrication workshop and ask them for offcut bits of steel anything from 0,9mm to about 4mm. Get a full bottle of gas, some tungsten tips and a handful of welding wire (1,6mm should be fine) and go for it. Practice fusing plates together (lying flat) That little ball in your Argon regulator should be floating around 5-10. (When you get everything just right it will whistle while you weld  ;)  ) Once you master that, try fillets and then different thickness plates.

LOADS of info online as well.

I just started as well and it's not as easy as they make it look in Discovery.....

Oh, and make sure you cover up ALL your bits of bare skin when you TIG.... I learned the hard way..... Good luck
