Who else is sick at the moment?

Recommended Posts

Pilonidal cyst surgery last Friday. That's me off the bike for 6 weeks. Just as I was about to start testing new bikes...

Was just wondering how this went for you and how was the recovery period?

Going in on Tuesday for the op....right in the middle of my Cullinan2Tondeldoos and Sani training. I am bleak from what I've heard so far

Take a lot of garlic and honey, keeps germs away?

Being taking honey and pepper, seems to help ease up the chest. Rode this morning after 7 days and felt ok after 75km.

Back to business from Monday.

I know!!! Horrible hey....when the surgeon was explaining it to me I was so miffed!

Not so much about the operation but the recovery time....seems like it takes loooooong in some cases :excl: Suppose it all depends on how well you behave after the operation.

Holding thumbs it all goes well.............

I have my usual sinus problems that seems to haunt me at this time of year.

  • Missed R4S one year as a result of being sick.
  • Missed FastOne twice.

Blocked right ear too - feels like I've just climbed out the swimming pool.

Sick at home since Monday. Also a sinus problem. Went to GP today and got some medicine so hopefully, I will be back on my feet by Monday. No riding for me this weekend.

I also have the same.. raging pain and clogged up sinuses with blocked ears and a heavy post nasal drip.

Makes me all wheezy and spluttery. Dam annoying is the time away from exercise.

Feeling rubbish PLUS no endorfins and nothing to look forward to makes me grumpy....

A bit of rest this weekend and hopefully I will be right as rain. X-Terra next weekend which I would like to do without having a heart attack!

Yip, also got a bit of the flu. Miss a whole weeks worth of Comrades Training. But I will try to run again on Saturday, and see how it goes.
