Some of my favourite old time and (semi) classics:

(1967) The Dirty Dozen:

(1969) The Italian Job

All the Bond movies, every single one of them.

Last Samurai

Who framed Roger Rabbit

Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves

Edit:

Shawshank Redemption

Final Countdown (when it came out - now it's just corny)

Watched Dirty Dancing for the first time last night. Impressed! Really enjoyed it.

I was forced to watch that for the first time last week by the wife. Convinced I was going to hate it but found myself enjoying it far more than I thought I would.

The one big downer was seeing a fit and healthy Patrick Swayze and knowing how he died.

Ha ha..I watched dirty dancing a number of times art the time at the movies trying to spade girls.. then watched it a few years ago again with my daughters. It's no great movie but it's entertaining enough

Talking about old popular movies..the family watched home alone the other day and my kids absolutely loved it...laughed like crazy...shows that they got the humor aimed at that target age group just right

Watched it with the wife for "old time sake" a month ago and thought it was painful, but I loved it as a kid. The Honest Trailer of it is brilliant.

Another brilliant 90 mins of solo acting

Tom Hardy is brilliant here

I see this is also available on DSTV's movie selection now

Watched this last night, awesome performance by Hardy and really enjoyed the film up until it ended... then I felt cheated, wanted more...
