Finally got round to 1917. I get it's a movie that "should" be watched on the big screen, bit in my book a movie needs to stand out outside of the big screen too. I found it ok... Nothing amazing. Acting was mediocre and there were a fair number of plot holes/irrelevant scenes... But... Still kept me entertained I guess

Anyone seen Wonder Woman 1984? Thought it was Ok-ish. Lot's of negative reviews though. Some weird plot devices and loopholes.

Saw it last night. Was not impressed at all. The first one was way much better. This is also one of the reasons I do not watch any Marvel or super hero stuff anymore, but I was dragged along by the wife and kids, well 2 of the kids. The middle one feels the same way I do about it. CG is used to fill up the many holes in the plot.

I thought it was OK, but then again, I wasn't concentrating too hard.

I suppose that it did go on a bit.

The midnite sky

Quite a touching movie, starring and directed by George Clooney on Netflix

Also a slow moving story, but enjoyable and well done.

By slow moving, I mean you could tell the story in a few short sentences.

But it's about how the story is told that is what makes it a good movie.

(A bit like 1917)

Other movies I've watched while on a break

Imitation game - really enjoyed the story of the enigma machine and the troubled man behind it

Trial of the Chicago 7 - story was told well and an interesting story

Watched Moffie. Was very disappointed after reading all the hype.

I've just watched it tonight and agree with you.

In the "National Service" film genre, I preferred Kanarie.

Someone previously not Enola .... rather not too bad.

Without even watching it, I would give it a rating of Eleven.

I loved it. Star studded, yet not suffering as a result (which is often the case)

Agreed.. I really enjoyed it.
