Pack your clothes and the rest of what is needed out the night before. Mix bottles and put on bike previous night. I find your save at least 15 minutes in the morning not having to look for shirts and bibs and what not. In turn, you can wake up 15 minutes later. I'm up at 4am and out the door at about 4:20.

2x Monsters

Those are great sleep aids for me. Buy a 710ml monster and sleep like a baby. Seems I'm wired wrong for caffeine. Oh and OP try Regmakers....nice caffeine tablets

A good indica strain will aid sleep Dipslick, if youre not into smoking then marijuana oils can be found. One of the reasons it helps cancer patients so much is that it helps one sleep and increases appetite. If youre eating sleeping tabs like smarties then marijuana oils could be a natural alternative. Just a drop under your tongue before you go to sleep, like a kabouter

But you just use that 15 minutes to pack the night before ? In effect not winning any sleep...

"Hello coffe-machine my old friend,

I've come to talk to you again,

Because of sleep softly creeping..."

Damn. I'm happy we're going away for the weekend so's I can't train. Am so grumpy that I'm beginning to sound like an @asshole on the @asshole thread, and have just jumped down the throat of Xander at Bicicletta.

I'm a danger to myself at the moment.

Maybe I need some of the magic oil... :)

HONESTLY, I KNOW IN THE STATES THIS STUFF IS EASILY AVAILABLE(LEGAL), I TAKE IT THIS OIL IS NOT AVAILABLE LOCALLY??

PM me, I can put you in touch with someone who makes it purely for medicinal use. I honestly think that its something that should be given a chance, like I say if the chemicals aint working maybe its time to give mother nature a try.

Trying to catch the sleep fairy... a game I know all too well.

Some things that have helped me...

1. No coffee/tea/alcohol FIVE hours before planned sleep time. S'true, booze destroys the quality of your sleep so even if you drink yourself senseless you'll walk up feeling tired (and overhung).

2. No tv screens/laptops/ipads etc TWO hours before planned sleep time. Kindle is fine.

3. Dark room. Very NB. Close curtains and shut doors.

4. If you can't sleep, don't stress about it. Stop trying to sleep, just lie there and relax.

But the OP is trying to find a way to stay awake after morning training. I'm a firm believer in the 20 min catnap. Not too comfortable. Just long enough to take the edge off. Standing up and walking around the office also helps.

Thinking about my retirement planning normally wakes me up good and proper!

Your body adapts, takes a while though.

Officer training in the Navy, we had about 3-4 hours sleep on a day for the 1st 7 months, 7 hours academic classes/studying and the rest was physical training. Didn't have coffee or long lunches, but body adapted, without any stimulants.

Edit: And if you fell a sleep in class, it meant a Trip to the GB anchor on the mountain or a swim round to bikini beach if you were lucky
