Hi peeps.

I saw on one of the freds someone posted a pic of an oke with small calves and I thought of my own. Mine are a bit bigger than that, but I'd like them a proper windgat show off size.

How can I get that right? Any help woulf be appreciated.

Not gonna happen......calves are the muscle that "grows" the least even with weight training....sort of you have what you got when you were born

Next time choose parents with bigger calves. It's largely genetic I am told. Calf implants are pretty common in the body building world as they it is a muscle that doesn't bulk up easily.

One of my drinking buddies from Empangeni  told me that Arnold Swarzwekindrewulf also used to have small calves; check we're not alone!

He 'apparently' then used to smoke some 'DP' prior to his work-out where he only concentrated on calve-raises, lifting like 2 ton at a time...impractical in your situation I know!

Calf muscles are very difficult to bulk up. There are many references to this on the internet with articles on the exercises that "work".

Bodybuilders often resort to surgical implants in their calves to get a balanced look.

But...do you REALLY want them, are they gonna help your cycling or just add weight

In my case they just suck up all the oxygen that should be used by my "climbing" muscles
