If using the Tim Noakes eating plan what do you use when Cycling long distances 50 km and more as against your normal Carbohydrate and sugar supplements - Can any one help me please ?

I prefer looking at duration and intensity. I can go 2 hrs hard on pure water. 3 hrs low intensity on pure water.

I race with energy drinks and gels. That is pretty much the only time I consume high carb.

Nuts - Droëwors - Biltong - water will this be enough to sustain and provide energy for long rides. I used CytoPower (USN) and gels - will I be able to go all the way without this.

This - I'm yet to see anyone go fast on water & fat. Far yes, fast no.

Anything under 80km, just water for me. Thereafter a peanut butter sarmie.

Your muscles has enough glycogen stores to go fast for up to about 2 hrs. The problem is when it runs out. Then you can either consume more glucose (gels and energy drinks) or slow down.

Here's a question, is that 80km Road or 80km Mtb?

As there is a massive difference between the two
