Enough money is being made from us cyclist, we have to deal with overpriced items all the time, but these guys that buys entries to races to later sell them for a profit is just wrong, I feel this needs to be ironed out right now, I wont buy a ticked for more that what the original guy paid (unless I support a charity) I would rather not do the event, I ask all of you to do the same,

I see one guy replied that it is illegal to sell an entry for more than you bought it for. Where can one find out where that is written down?

These are in demand, ergo the original entry fee is too low(if you don't choke on the R430 pricetag). I don't see why you can't charge whatever you feel. HOWEVER, karma will klap you with a lot of punctures if you fleece this charity event.

you are quite right, but if these a-holes did not grab the tickets then most of these people might have gotten the chance to buy their own ticket, and I am not talking about the one in classifieds, I personally know a guy that already bought 2 tickets at a very high price, if you are already selling your entry you never had the intention to cycle the event, if we don't buy them at these stupid prices then these people might think twice next year before they try and make a quick buck, simple principle really, just like you don't buy stolen goods.

The last I read on the cycle tour website(before this years cycle tour) it stated that entries cannot be sold for more than the cost of the original entry and that the only extra was the substitution fee.

If you are found selling your argus entry for more than the stated price your Race ID is suspended indefinitely as per rules on CTCT website.

There is also a demand for Rhino horn shark fin and children, but you you cannot sell these as its against the rules. Same with Argus entries
