Hi Dipslick, I'm in the insurance industry myself and yes, if found it is now the property of the insurer. you do have two options- pay back the money or give back the bike. Yes, they may never found out that you got the bike back, but it is a change you take. As hulle jou vang het jy ***. Not worth it. Its fraud. If you give the money back (technically withdraw the claim) you can submit a new claim for damages if any. If you do get the bike back and contact the insurer to make a deal, you won't have a problem getting things your way. The Insurer will just be too glad to recoup some of their loss. You will score big points.
