Nope, just a beeeg pile of rocks next to a communications tower. The DH line starts about 5m behind where I was stood.Ā

But yeah dude - yesterday's rain was VERY welcome, but far too little. I'm hoping that the 10mm forecast for tomorrow turns out to be 100mm. And the same for Friday / Saturday / Sunday. Heck, we need 2 weeks of sustained showers just to get us to a suitable pre-winter level.Ā

Stem is too short and seat postĀ too low. dropper.. :ph34r:Ā .....Ā  :D

Weight of fork overcomes front wanting to lift on 30% climbs... :P

Ā

Seriously though. The climb up to the contermanskloof mast at times hits more than 30%. I am VERY impressed that I managed to keep the front down on a bike with a 63.5-64 deg HA, 35mm stem and in 1st gear. Ā

Mooi sled bra. I shrugged the hand guards off as another 'pfft...gimmick' when they first came out. But they look wicked on this bike.Ā

Since I'm part of the giant club now. Here's a throwback to like last week or something.

Please note the strategically place helmet and goggles. Usage of pedal and tree stump to keep the girl from falling. Perfect. Hipster's could learn a thing or two from this pic. Next time you post pics of your Macbook for Instagram and you're wondering where to place your triple, venti, half sweet, non-fat, caramel macchiato in the same frame. Refer back to this picture to see how proper product placement is done.

And this here, folks, is the personification of #downduro. 210mm rear, 180mm front.Ā
