I remember my first mtb: a heavy steel rigid Diamondback in the early 90's. I rode that bike stukkend in the hills around PMB & Hilton and made my time at varsity the happiest and most free years of my life. I remember that bike like it was yesterday - no carbon FS compares. I'll have a favourite saddle or pair of shoes. Once something becomes super comfortable and fits me like it belongs, that's when it becomes a favourite. I imagine a properly worn-in leather Brookes saddle fits that description perfectly. One day I'll just have to find out...
