I don't know the background, or how much truth there is in any of this, but, I can't help but wonder why the letter is unsigned and seems to be dropped in random postboxes? (at least that is how I understood it from the other thread mentioning this letter)

another logical post. Another red card.

Random shrandom sounds like a "I didnt get the post so I am going to be a crybaby campaign"

There is of course the slight possibility that Rob was the best candidate for the job.

Just a thought.

Whether or not that's the case the OP seems convinced that everyone at the PPA are evil overlords who want nothing but to steal our money.................

During the past couple of months there were many arguments regarding transparency of the CSA and their unethical business practises. As many Huber's proudly and enthusiastically pointed out that the CSA are not concerned about the people they are supposed to represent "The Cyclists" but are more concerned about their personal trips to the forthcoming Olympics. Here on all the above mentioned issues and some other CSA issues I also agree with most of these Huber's.

However what I noticed during these months were how easy it is for specific individual Huber's always to push and promote the PPA as they are the transparent cycling body and organisation who should even hopefully take over the duties and functions of the CSA. I am not going into past discussions about the PPA and if they are there as an Events Company or are they there to represent the cyclist interest, or how much money they make or have.

I would like to point out that in my opinion the PPA and the CSA are all non transparent cycling organisations with their own personal "Brotherhood" membership as priority, before the cycle community interest are addressed at large. I received an anonymous letter regarding the latest PPA CEO election. This letter just illustrate and highlight the fact that our PPA and CSA are in actual fact no deferent in practice from each others transparency operations. Makes you think.

Which team are you batting for? You should choose your battles wisely? Posting this right off the bat is not on.  ;)

Also true. He wouldn't have applied if he couldn't handle the job or gotten it if the interview panel didn't think he has the ability to succeed in the post. I'm sure they also considered his success with Table Mountain Mtb as well. It shows he can do, if you'll excuse the bad pun.

I am convinced that neither the PPA and the CSA have the actual cyclist best interest at heart. their agendas first before anything else. Regarding the new CEO and if he deserve the position or not, that to me is also not the big issue. I guess this practice happen in a lot of businesses, but what I am trying to highlight is that many Huber's believe one organisation could be better or more trustworthy than the other, which in this case is not.

So basically the letter states that the new CEO is a cyclist, that cycles with his friends.

At least he cycles, rather than the CSA lot that just sit around, send press releases to the hub saying, that if we don't buy a license we cannot partake in races.
