Started running in the beginning of the year and really like it. My only problem is runners not sticking to the road rules and running on the wrong side of the road...forcing me to either get on the pavement to pass them on my right, or go left into oncoming traffic.

Does anyone have the same problem?

Runners generally run into traffic... far safer.

And we normally just hit the pavement/curb whenever things start looking a little tight with cars or fellow runners/cyclists.

Like everything, a little courtesy goes a long way

Agreed!

But I tend to run on the same (physical) side of the road - just to avoid running with the same camber for every bit of the way. So one half with and one against traffic, so that same hip does not constantly remain below the other.

At the times I run, there are so few of us on the road that we're friends by now!

Running on the same side the whole time is not good, especially if you have knee and hip niggles. I switch between left, right and center during my run. But I run very early in the morning, so I don't have any issues with traffic.

Yes that what I do, but what I meant was runners running with the flow of traffic, and passing them safely in a narrow street causing a problem
