Where is everyone at? Touch wood, my training is going pretty well. Will be on just over a 1000km since Jan after Oceans.

So far so good... Just over 1530kms YTD as of yesterday - should be on about 1620km post Oceans... Oceans was my A Race though so have done a pretty Big 4 week Block in March.

Will then take a week off and then a last 3-4 weeks block before taper time..

Estimate about 2250kms by the big C.

A race you say...... You'll get an easy silver based upon your training that I've been seeing. What's the goal?

Sub4 Silver is definitely the Primary Goal, pace plan is built on a 2h52 at the Marathon mark and see how we go from there.. Good day as close to 3h50 as possible.

We shall see. Last year I went 2h58 marathon then exploded on Constantia and Ran 4h05 but am definitely in much better shape now.

I'm not doing Oceans (this year) or Comrades(probably ever), but I'm sitting at 820km so far for the year. My wife and I are doing a stage trail race mid May, so aiming to be at ~1200km or there about then.

Good luck everybody with your training!

I'm totally in the miles mindset now... So 350 miles for the year so far. Still early days but I'm happy with where I am now. I'm running sub 20 5km when I need to and slowly building up the mileage. My Marathon for the year is only in October but I also have a sub 90 half goal for September

It will be close, but I might make the 1,000km since Jan ...

right before Comrades...   :whistling:

(And that will be 300-400 more than 2017 and 2018  ;)  )

... Oceans was my A race..

I literally did a last hour sub for Oceans, no idea what to suspect. Will use it as my Comrades long run and take it real easy. Looking at around 6h.

Talking of which, I just saw the Irene results. Janine blew the course away! Was she running it in a group with Vicky?

Vicky & Janine ran together. Vicky was getting her A seeding and Janine was in for a good training run. Those just happened to be the same thing. Very social of them. There is going to be a strong bunch of jozi girls going for Silvers.

I was on 1100km YTD yesterday, behind were I was the last two years but not stressed as i have now been running for two years.

Plan is to be around 1800km before race day. No oceans so we can focus on Comrades, big block started two weeks ago (>100km/w) and will include E100 and Route Tester before starting to ease off in the 2nd week of May.

I see Runzone also have an Easter 100 this year, although we will probably end up with doing the Randburg Harriers 100 (a bit closer to Centurion). The plan is to do only days 2 and 3. We are not entered for any Ultras at the moment, so no need for the extra punishment of day 1.

Yeah, I get the feeling that when one has had a lot of consistency over a few years, as you have, you probably don't need to smash the mileage as hard anymore? I mean, you're running better with what seems like less effort now, wouldn't you say?
