They have had these available for a few years in massive bulk, for feeding mining operations and schools so it is good to see we can hopefully buy them now not 10 000 at a time. There are other local brands available in Dischem as well,  R15 each makes it cheaper than a Gu gel as well. I use them for Adventure racing, even took a few to Scotland for Itera.

 

This has always been my go-to for trail runs when I need something nice and digestible. R8 each

Yes, I was running myself! NOWHERE near the same pace as him.

Maybe someone can tell me why runners can't wear headphones when racing?

 

I thought it was to prevent pacing info being given, but it appears that Kipchoge had pacers and a laser light from a car (according to Sky) giving him the pace.

Not an official marathon though... They also had people sweeping the course and decided when the optimal time and date would be too run it. We only knew last night what the official start time would be
