Tubehunter Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Ai, the seeding is strange - I have been seeded in 5g becaise I have done 11 plus Tours but my wife who has done 1 - the short one last year with me at the same finish time - is seeded for an earlier start than me. And we want to ride together... She can drop back to your group and then there is no problem. You're allowed to start later than what your starting group is without making any official changes. She just goes to your start group with you. (Unless she doesn't want to drop back.... )

Also seems the whole "no cyclists" on Chappies thing was an over keen sign maker

Can't see the flogged to death wind thingy changing that.

BikeLuddite Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Long Time Lurker , first time poster Sent an email to seeding to find out why my seeding start time this year was worse than my first ever CTCT Race (unseeded if you will) and first ever race last year. I had since completed the 94.7 which I did in a sh.t time (5h00) due to some health issues and the fast one this past sunday. My start time this year is 08:50 whereas my friend who has a similar pace as me has got 7:20 ... granted she did a few more other races last year which has helped and her 94.7 was 1h00 better than mines. They responded that they only took the results of the CTCT 2015 and 94.7 even though I did the fast one specifically to help. They said Fast one is not included for seeding this year. Which is total bull**** as the fast one website specifically says its a 'premier' seeding event. This also means the 2016 Dischem Ride for Sight which is also advertised as a 'seeding' event is a lie. It's the only reason I entered them - to try to improve my Argus seeding time. Surely some of us have a right to be angry and demand they re-assess it. If these two races are not used for seeding for this years CTCT - they should have not advertised it as such and we should be able to have recourse of some kind?

Your seeding reflects that adjustment. That 1B is well earned

That 1B is well earned Yep, we have already established on this thread you can only get a $ seeding if you are faster than Nolan Hoffman (which I assume you are not). Then the only faster group you could have got in is 1A, so I wouldn't think 1B is a bad seeding for 1 event without any climbs
