EL Stepo Posted October 3, 2015 Share Anyone out there keen to mix it up with fellow Hubbers in a HUB RIDE early this November? A couple of weeks before the 94.7 I am thinking of a nice easy loop of "Cheese factory" with sponsored venue and support Vehicles and some measure of traffic control assistance on the day. A few years ago I put together a HUB RIDE from the Mercedes Benz Showroom in Midrand, Merc accommodated us with the Venue, Parking, Bike park, Snacks and Refreshments afterward and topped it off with a grand prize (lucky draw) for a snazzy Car for one lucky HUBBER to cruise around in for the week. I am working with the Guys and Girls at Nash Nissan in Alberton who are in the mood to do the same if sufficient interest is there. Things on the cards are: Organised Mass ride at an easy pace +- 60km - not a race - a hub ride A quick COFFEE and a Boerie Roll afterward. Bike show - All local shops and importers are invited to place their Bikes on show amongst the new Nissan Models, also this will be a good time to have the "demo" bikes around for test rides etc Thule will be invited to accessorise some of the Cars in the showroom and provide a "prize" or two too. I am thinking that we can allocate a space for the local Bikes that are for sale in the classifieds section on the floor too after the ride to help the private sales and upgrade train along. A Grand Prize of a fully kitted out Nissan SUV (Thule) to drive for the week and weekend of the 94.7 cycle challenge The whole thing to start at 07:00 and be done by 10:30 ish...11:00? Theres a hundred odd riders for you...Nash Nissan in Alberton is about 13Km from the intersection.We ride along Swartkoppies every weekend from that direction.If it's a "Cheese Factory" loop, then it will be a bit more than 60Km - closer to 70Km.
