G.O.G

MY sister works in their super max prison guarding

rapists

Murders

Not pleasant characters,

The other day I read their herald (I think it was )there was a run in one of the forests to "reclaim" the trails because a woman had been raped. Yes I know it's not an everyday 100times a day, but it does happen, you don't have a super max because everyone is angels ,, ,,again I understand it's not SA wholesale level

There is actually a lot going on there.... http://www.nzherald.co.nz/crime/news/article.cfm?c_id=30&objectid=11603517

So I must admit. Anyone who came over alone while family was back home is stronger than me. If I had money and a good job back home I would be on a plane back already and it has only been one week! On the other hand I have invested too much money to turn back now! Hoping things go better once my family arrive.

I found it incredibly hard as well, just remember its a short term sacrifice for a HUGE long term benefit. Keep yourself busy by exploring your surroundings be it parks, forests or coffee shops - it is exciting to have found places to take your family once they arrive and will help them adjust more easily.

Sterkte!!

Don't let those sheep "lovers" scare you...

Here's some news to read to help remind you why you are there....

Pretoria - The ANC national executive committee on Sunday reaffirmed that it had confidence in President Jacob Zuma.....

Hardcore being separated from your family. Mine returned a week ago from a 3 week visit to SA. I got really fit...but missed them so much. Sterkte.

What do you ous think of the proposed new flag? I prefer the old one with the Union Jack and the red stars...

I love it based on the removal of the Union Jack to be honest. Doubt it will win the referendum though but let's see...?

Interestingly, I like the Union Jack being there. Reflective of history and all that. I'm mostly of Scottish extraction, so no good reason there for an affinity to the Brit flag!

Hi Ramrod

You have probably just completed the hardest journey of your life. It ain't easy I am sure, but there is nothing left here for you...

My Nephew left 35 days ago to study in Europe. I'll give you the advise I gave him - don't sit still. Join clubs & groups, with common interests. Or even something out of your circle.

Just don't sit & over analyse everything you have vs what you had...

New beginnings! Enjoy the adventure!
