Who else will be spinning next week ?

First time on the bike since 25/9

Stock take last weekend got me 14k and 11k steps plus two visits to VA to collect smoothies = 400 points. Today's IDT ride gives me some breathing space for tomorrow and Friday (hope to make the coffee ride), by which time I'll be spinning that wheel.

I'm going with Personal Booster next year. As soon as they've paid for my Apple Watch, I'm cancelling the whole Vitality thing. Financial benefits are gained via another platform, and all the admin for two smoothies, or coffees now, is frankly just not worth the effort

For an extra R600 per month, Disco Team Vitality pay me for half of my race entry fees. While I don't do half the amount of races I once did, the cash back is close to R1150 annually, making it a R550 ROI. Small change, yes, but I look at it as marginal gains. The effort is rewarded by the vouchers - just depends how one sees the glass... 1/2 full or 1/2 empty.

I also feel like I get enough out of it as it is. For me just getting the apple watch is a huge score as I am paying R600 for a R7200 watch. I give all my coffees to my wife seeing as she drives a lot and there is a mug and bean on the move on her road. All in all I think if you achieve all your goals every week you will make a profit out of them. Take into account shoe booster and gym booster aswell.

Sure it was worth the while with Gym, Shoe, Apple Watch... but

1. I get my caffeine fix at work

2. I have 2 Garmin devices

3. The Apple Watch is nice to have but I always feel like somebody under house arrest with an ankle monitor when wearing it. I qent two decades without a watch before the Apple

4. No gym around where I stay

5. Smoothies I started drinking because they were free, none where I stay now

6. Targeting Vitality goals affected my fitness and enjoyment of fitness activities negatively

Long and short, it became an administrative burden to gain money out of the system and I’d rather forego the marginal gains for quality of life

You logging double the data ?

You wanted to move to the sticks - now you have no smoothies.

You could always do a ride to the closest VA and get a smoothie or 2.

Sticks? Think you have your wires crossed. I left Ferrero in 2014

You right I do have my wires crossed - apologies.

Will give you a wave when I see you and your clan at your Friday coffee stop.

'Kaze Pete has moved to the sticks.

You Frosty, you just in the next City but I often see you in my City

Has anyone managed to claim their "surprize" reward? please tell me where I can do this or rather how.

Through the App. They use a spinning wheel type graphic which spins on a button push to reveal your surprise. No real surprise - I got a free coffee or smoothie

I had to update my APP, also got a Base reward.....Did not expect anything more from Vitality, they take something away and replace it with something "Better"

jeepers. Quit your moaning... it's only the first time rolling, and you're complaining that you *only* got another free coffee / smoothie?

Bloody hell. Edereese got a R 100 voucher, my OH has yet to spin... There's also probably an algorithm going in the background ensuring that the probability of hitting the upper echelons is far lower than the lower ones, JUST like in the casino (to hit an XXX etc)

Those are the things you CAN get. Of course there are going to be times when you don't, and all you get is the base reward.

Also got a R100 voucher,

Its almost 50% of my vitality spend each month.

If you time it correctly you can get 2 surprise rewards in a month i.e R200 sort of pays for vitality
